In a typical year we will place 20 children and a similar number of adoption orders will be made, in addition, about 20 sets of adopters will be approved.

What does the team do?
The Families for All team counsel birth parents who approach us or who are referred by local authorities who are exploring the option of placing their child for adoption.
Recruits and prepares prospective adopters for assessment and approval by the Society’s Adoption Panel.
Matches individual children or sibling groups from local authority care, between the ages of 0 – 12 with approved adopters.
Works with children prior to the Adoption Order and afterwards
Provides support to new adoptive relationships up till and beyond the Adoption Order
Offers consultation to other professionals
Has a list of approved adopters for children with special needs
Refers adopted children up to the age of 18 years for counselling/psychotherapeutic support as required
Facilitates and supervises direct contact between birth relatives and adopted children.
