Without a bereavement policy when somebody dies in a school community a difficult situation can be much harder to cope with.
Due to high demand we are holding a second special conference for Senior Leaders from schools entitled ‘When Somebody Dies’. This will provide practical expert guidance on how to develop a school bereavement policy and procedures. All delegates will receive a comprehensive resource pack and template policy which they can tailor and implement at their schools.
• Special guest speaker: Rosie Mather (Child Bereavement UK)
• Date: Wednesday 17th May 2017, 10am-3pm
• Venue: Ashford International Hotel
• Cost: £100 (including lunch)
“During the most difficult time imaginable for our school community the information and material from the ‘When Somebody Dies’ conference I attended proved invaluable”
(K. Linnane, Assistant Head, St Joseph’s Primary, Herts)

During this Holy season of Advent supporting a charity is a very clear way of showing holiness and love to those in need. We give to those in need and in return we have the joy of knowing that we have helped others, and should the need ever arise, we may in turn be helped by charity.
This Christmas we are asking you to once again demonstrate the holiness of your family by helping the hundreds of thousands of children and families living in poverty across our diocese. As a part of our Catholic Children’s Society family, please give all that you possibly can to this Christmas Appeal to support work with those most in need.
